Manual agitation, in traditional parts washers, precedes an enclosed high pressure hot water detergent wash. This is immediately followed by hand drying with compressed air and additional fine cleaning by solvent spray.
An ultrasonic cleaner is used for the more difficult cavities found in parts such as valve control block castings, whilst main casings are steam cleaned prior to shot blasting.
